Trimmings: Those accessories which are used in sewing section are called trimmings.
Yarn: Yarn is a long continuous length of interlocked fibres, suitable for use in the production of textiles, sewing, crocheting, knitting, weaving, embroidery etc.
Fabric: fabric is a flexible 2d and 3d sheet of yarn produced by intermeshing or interlacing or technical process.
Natural fibers: natural fibres are fibres that are produced by plants, animals, and geological processes.
Fiber: The material, which consists fibrous structure and length is thousand times higher than its width is called fiber. It is also the generic term used to describe the basic element of the material from which yarns, woven, knits and other substances are made.
Cotton fiber: Cotton fiber is a cellulosic seeds fiber.
Linen fiber: Linen is a cellulosic fiber. It is collected from flax plant.
Nylon fiber: Nylon is a man-made synthetic fiber that is strong while very light in weight, properties that lead to a wide variety of uses, such as fabric, rope and luggage.
Polyester fiber: Polyester is a man-made synthetic fiber.
Spandex fiber: Spandex, Lycra or elastane is a synthetic fiber known for its exceptional elasticity. It is a polyether-polyuria copolymer.
Man-made fiber: A type of fibre that is made artificially, such as polyester or rayon.
Seam Allowance: A seam allowance is the area between the fabric edges and the line of stitches. Seam allowances can range from 1/4" wide to as much as several inches. Most patterns call for a specific seam allowance. In general, our patterns call for a 1/4" or 1/2" seam allowance.
ISO: International Organization for Standardization.
Yoke: A yoke is a shaped pattern piece which forms part of a garment, usually fitting around the neck and shoulders, or around the hips to provide support for looser parts of the garment, such as a gathered skirt or the body of a shirt.
